I did nothing (didn't update anything, I did absolutely nothing), so I guess it was an automatic fix. Apple calendar is now automatically syncing with Google Calendar. The pop up alert does not happen all of the time, but when. If you have multiple servers with the same name, you will need to remove the duplicates. Tried disabling the account, tried looking online, seems no one has a 2021 issue with this. Then click the menu next to Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), and select Edit SMTP Server List Select the server in use by your account. Been getting this pop up notice for a while and theres an alert symbol (triangle with a ) next to the account in the sidebar (at all times).
Update - Problem seems to be solved on my end as well. Calendar 'The server responded with an error' Notice. Update - Users discussing how it might be Time Zone related. Anyone else no longer having the issue? (3/5 - still unconfirmed) Update - User says they haven’t seen the issue come up in two days. Update - Many people have tried deleting the cache, restarting the computer and readding the accounts, without success. Update - Issue appears to be widespread for users - happening on Catalina, Mojave, Big Sur, Sierra Nevada.

Update - Seems like most of us have the error occur mostly at night, but it is resolved by the morning, then the error notifications begin again at night. She said that apple couldn't do anything else for me. She said that we should contact google (lol) and use the google fix recommended - msgid=54852740. She then told me that this appears to be a google calendar issue, nothing to do with iCloud or Apple. The advisor did a screen share and tried various troubleshooting measures, none worked. Also, when I delete repeating events, they continuously pop back up after deletion. However, when I close the app and reopen it, it will usually show me the updated events from Google Calendar in Apple Calendar. My Apple Calendar does show me events, but it does not sync or show when I add new events in Google Calendar through the website.
